  • Laurie Beth Releases New APP with ReThink Books

    June 16th, 2011

Laurie Beth has just released an App for the iPhone and iPad with ReThink Books.  One of the things that customers tell us is that they want to share Laurie's content with others, tell Laurie Beth about how much the content means to them and be able to see what others are experiencing as well.  Well with this new 'social books' technology through ReThink Books we can all begin to share right here inside the App.  We can see notes, comments, questions, etc and interact with each other as we follow what you are reading across other authored content as well.  It is amazing. We will load different pieces of Laurie Beth's content, authored books and new material that she is writing right inside the APP for others to read, comment and share.  We think it will make you ReThink books. Over the next several weeks you will find more of the materials from Laurie Beth that you have come to enjoy.  Even some of those out of print items as she brings them back and places them here in her APP. • Blog Press: Take Out

    May 31st, 2011

Not every customer wants to eat in.  Many want to take your food and go.   The brick and mortar model of people coming to you is fast being replaced by the models of on demand delivery and service, with you and your products going to them. Leaders adapt to changing markets.  This restaurant has a corner specifically set up to handle “customers on the go.” Do you? -Laurie Bethcontinue reading »

  • Blog Press: Manifesting your dreams

    May 23rd, 2011

Cindy Brown writes: In February 2009, I went to a life planning session led by Brenda Staab.  It was based on the book and workbook by Laurie Beth Jones, called The Path. One of the questions in the workbook is “Imagine that it is Monday morning, 9 am three years from now.  Where are you? What are you doing?”  I answered “I’m sitting on my patio in Taos, drinking coffee and sitting in the quiet.  I’m planning my day and relfecting on my current projects and seeing some new inspiration or idea opening.  I feel grounded and energized.” This morning May 23, 2011 – a little more than two years later – I sat on my patio drinking coffee and thinking about my day – excited to be writing about manifesting your dreams.  How did it happen?  How did I go from vision to reality?  Maybe my journey will give you ideas for your journey.  Read about it in my next blog – Manifesting your dreams – Part 2. continue reading...continue reading »

  • Blog Press: So Long Bin Laden

    May 3rd, 2011

Double Tap in Double Time: So Long Bin Laden I wonder if he awoke from a deep sleep to hear vaguely, at first, the sound of helicopter blades whirring overhead.  I wonder if the first shots he heard, distant at first but then moving closer, told him that this was not firecrackers in the neighborhood, but the sounds of his approaching doom.  I wonder when he first stood up from his bed…did he stumble?... realizing that death was imminent—that there would be no escaping now.   How telling that a woman beside him was used as a human shield. And then, there it was, his worst nightmare.  A team of American soldiers, dressed in black, sent to dispatch him to his destiny.   Double tap on the trigger.  Two bullets fired. One to the eye, one to the heart.  Osama bin Laden drops dead. And so a trail of a trillion dollars and millions of broken bodies and hearts comes to this:  Six USA soldiers carrying off a white sheeted body on a stretcher, to be washed according to Islamic tradition, and then buried silently at sea. continue reading...continue reading »

  • Blog Press: All Rise

    April 24th, 2011

The word “rise” is one of my favorite words in the English Language.  It has the “eyes” sound in it.  It compels and invites the act of going from one state of being to another. Rise is the first of the three ‘R’ dreams of the Holy Spirit, I believe, as we are all called to Rise like Fire…like a flame that has suddenly found its source.  Flames rise in the ecstasy of finding fuel. If Jesus had not risen there would be no Christianity…no churches with pretty white steeples, calling people to make a point of worshipping God.  If Jesus had not risen there would be no good news story, so exciting that we are all told to run and tell others what we have seen and heard…that life is everlasting…that death has lost its sting…that the bent over shall stand tall again, that withered hands shall heal to hold and embrace. Rise is about perspective—changing it from what you see in one position, as in on the floor…to what you see in the risen position, which is out the window. continue reading...continue reading »

  • Blog Press: OneEgg.com

    April 18th, 2011

Recently I attended a summit of world changing CEOs at the Convene CEO Summit 2011. One of the speakers was Tom Phillips, CEO of Diversified Conveyors, Inc. He is also owner of Ikiraro Investments, which he started after several trips to Rwanda. Tom said he sees himself as a problem solver, and one of the problems he noticed in his trips abroad was the great need for protein in the diet of the children in Rwanda. Protein is essential for proper brain development in children ages 0 to 5 years old. Yet protein is in short supply for the children. Beef is too expensive, and if there is a chicken around the custom is that the man and only the man in the house gets to eat it—all of it—leaving nothing for the women and children. So Tom put his engineering background to work and with others conceived of a profitable, sustainable model that combines a non-profit/for profit approach to getting protein to children. It is called www.oneegg.org. I suggest you check it out. For $60 a year, or $5 per month you can supply eggs as protein to one child for an entire year. I plan to order half a dozen. Will you join me?continue reading »
